The Institute for Sustainable Development and Innovation (ISDI) is a Jordanian research institution founded in Amman in 2026, dedicated to translating scientific knowledge into applied action, contributing to fact-based, evidence-driven policymaking, and channelling investment toward more efficient and viable solutions. The Institute takes an integrated approach to strengthening the resilience and efficiency of agricultural and food systems, linking their sustainability to national resilience in ways that positively impact various economic sectors and affairs across the Kingdom. Through its studies and applied research, ISDI seeks to bridge the gap between academia, policymakers, and the investment community, equipping executive and legislative leadership with objective tools that drive tangible structural reforms and support the development of enabling frameworks capable of attracting capital to productive sectors. The launch ceremony will feature two panel discussions in collaboration with Konrad Adinauer Stiftung. The first will address the diagnostic study of Jordan's agriculture and food system, examining its key vulnerabilities and pathways to greater resilience, with the participation of a distinguished group of former ministers and experts in economics, industry, and investment. The second panel will focus on the issue of agricultural landholdings in Jordan, exploring the challenges and policy options involved, with the participation of specialists in legal, regulatory, and agricultural affairs.
