Convening & Forums

The Institute believes that sound policy is not made in isolation, and that addressing the challenges of economic sectors begins at a table where stakeholders from government, the private sector, the research community, and international partners meet across their differing positions. From this belief, the Institute takes on the design and professional management of events and forums, building them around a clear knowledge agenda that moves the gathering beyond its protocol trappings into its true function as an instrument of influence in its own right — one in which research findings are transformed into a live discussion among those who hold decision-making power, those who hold expertise, and those who hold capital. Around sectoral issues, broad participation and gradual consensus are built, paving the way for more accepted and sustainable policies. This platform extends to the issues of all economic sectors in their diversity, foremost among them the agri-food sector, which receives special attention from the Institute. The Institute aspires for its annual forum to become a unifying occasion for taking stock of these sectors and charting their future paths — an extension of its mission to bridge knowledge and action and to translate evidence into tangible impact.
